AMILINE Elite-K/Elite-Ks casings are glossy, multilayer barrier casings designed for the production of food products requiring long-term shelf life. AMILINE Elite-K/Elite-Ks casings are distinguished by the use of polymers with low gas permeability, particularly to oxygen (EvOH). The barrier properties of AMILINE Elite-K/Elite-Ks casings allow the production of products that retain their high consumer qualities (freshness, taste, aroma, and appearance) for a long time. AMILINE Elite-Ks casings feature spiral peelability.

Application

The casing is intended for the production of food products requiring long-term storage:
— cooked sausages and hams;
— liver and blood sausages;
— pates and other products.

Advantages

1. Mechanical strength allows for loaf forming using high-performance automatic and semi-automatic clipping machines at high forming speeds.

2. Low oxygen permeability inhibits the oxidation of fats and vitamins and ensures microbiological stability of long-life products. The casing ensures long shelf lives for various products: the shelf life of chilled minced meat is 25 days, pâtés – 70 days, and cooked sausages – 90 days.

3. Low water vapor permeability provides the following advantages:
— No loss during heat treatment and storage of meat and sausage products
— Excellent presentation (no wrinkles) of finished products throughout their shelf life

4. Physiological safety: The casing is not susceptible to microbiological deterioration, as the materials from which it is made are inert to bacteria and mold. This simplifies storage of the casing and improves the hygienic characteristics of both the casing itself and the sausage production process.

Seal

The casing can be printed on one or two sides, in multicolor or full color, using UV-curable or solvent-based inks. Printing is done using a flexographic process, and the inks are resistant to boiling, grease, and mechanical damage.
