Description

A multilayer coextruded thermoformable barrier film. AMISTYLE VR is a unique packaging solution, the world's first biaxially oriented film for classic thermoforming – patent RU 2 660 836 C1, single European patent No. 3621808, valid in 17 countries. AMISTYLE VR can be used as a top film or with the companion top film AMISTYLE SR. AMISTYLE VR films are made from polyamide, polyolefin, polyethylene terephthalate, EvOH, and an adhesive (modified polyethylene), all approved for use in the food industry.

Application

AMISTYLE VR films are used as a bottom thermoformable film for vacuum or modified atmosphere packaging of a variety of chilled and frozen food products (meat products, poultry, sausages and deli meats, fish and fish products, cheeses and cheese products, ready-to-eat meals), including those with the option of pasteurization for 2 hours at 95°C, on thermoformers to extend shelf life.

AMISTYLE VR-60 is designed for shallow thermoforming. It is ideal for vacuum packaging of sausages in 1-2 rows.

AMISTYLE VR-90 and AMISTYLE VR-110 are thermoformable films with increased puncture resistance.

AMISTYLE VR-90-E and AMISTYLE VR-120-E are thermoformable films with increased elasticity for deeper forming and an optimal price-quality ratio thanks to a special formula. They are ideal for forming complex 5x1, 5x2, 6x1, and 6x2 formats to a depth of 6-7 cm (including loaves with a "slanted" cut).

4. The outer layer of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) provides excellent optical properties (gloss and transparency) and heat resistance.

5. The polyamide (PA) layer provides excellent film strength.

6. Ethylene vinyl alcohol (EvOH) provides high oxygen barriers and ensures:
— microbiological stability of products during storage;
— inhibition of oxidative processes that lead to rancidity of fats contained in food products;

7. The inner polyethylene (PE) layer allows for welding over a wide temperature range, forming a hermetic seal, and acts as a barrier to water vapor (no weight loss during storage).

8. The biaxial orientation of the film ensures uniform stretching during the molding process and excellent strength properties (including at the corners).

9. The low specific gravity of the film (kg/m2) ensures an optimal product-to-package weight ratio.

AMISTYLE VR film can be printed in single, multi, or full colors using volatile solvent-based inks.

The printing is done using a flexographic process, and the inks are resistant to boiling, grease, and mechanical damage.

Recommendations for use

Welding temperature: 120–150°C.
Forming temperature: 95–115°C.
Forming and welding parameters are selected experimentally and depend on the equipment specifications and the film thickness and type.
