What are fibrous sheaths?

Futamura's MEATLONN™ fibrous casings are made from a special blend of cellulose and abaca, creating a durable, semipermeable tube ideal for forming, smoking, and packaging sausages and other meat products. Our casings provide excellent moisture and smoke permeability while maintaining high dimensional stability, making them the gold standard in meat casing technology.

Types and characteristics of cases

Adhesion technology

Choose from standard, easy-peel, or high-adhesion casings to meet your processing needs. We offer customized peel control solutions designed specifically for your needs.

— V-Type "Regular": for cooked and smoked sausages that do not require special cleaning or adhesion.
— VG Type "Moderate Meat Adhesion": For ready-to-eat sausages that require light meat adhesion.
— G-Type "Meat Adhesion": Ensures high strength and integrity during drying and slicing.
— E-Type "Easy-Peel" casings: For ready-to-eat sausages that require casing removal.
— EX Type "Extra Easy-Peel": For even easier peeling.

Viscose coating technology

Single-coated viscose creates a shiny surface for an authentic look.

Double-coated viscose has a smooth inner surface that ensures a smooth filling process, reduces wrinkling during storage, and maintains a fresh appearance.
